Oh yes, I won. But the victory tastes more like soap because after champagne. Instead of the first version of a novel, I created a strange fictional paper, a novel and buglastige the end a biography of one of the protagonists of my last year's NaNo, which I now again refined in order to forget the disaster of this year.

Thelen I had ordered from the Weidle Verlag and was pleasantly surprised. The Bestätigunsmail was funny, the shipping charge and the payment made on account. What reader could ask for more?

In the short novel (I think poets stick to shorter than in prose novelist) is the story of a successful painter, tells of his age is in isolation (self-selected) disturbed by the death of a former lover. He manages the Return to a more open life and art.
The narrator reveals himself as the wonderfully life-egoist who he was. Quietly and calmly written by Campert with some insights into the age, Campert is not known, but this year he was 80th

A book that invites to other books.

The chef and his assistants stent, Inspector Ali driving in the mountains to inland investigations included are investigations aimed at revealing only towards the end of the novel, but they are never really important.
It is a journey into the mountains. could remain for the two cities, a trip to the Middle Ages to a remote mountain village, whose inhabitants in a country that is inhumane and ruthless to be.
between villagers and townspeople is such a deep chasm that understanding is not possible. Only when the inspector Ali memories of his childhood in the oven of a bread baker takes as a guide, he is a dancer between two worlds.
The two worlds are the subject of the novel by Driss Chraibi, the clash of civilization (Western type) and traditional way of life.
The two city police officers, the representatives of civilization act, arg sappy, not smart, just smart, however, as their opponents. An unequal battle and hurt my reading experience. The drama will probably lie more in Inspector Ali's soul; which is torn between two worlds. It drives him but rather to libido as reason.
Chraibi seeks a light tone, but the humor I like it too much for slapstick and he watered the problem here.
readable Overall, yes, but it leaves me unsatisfied, because I believe that more could have been more herausgekitztelt seriousness of the conflict.

First You Tube was a nostalgic catapult for me. There I found old favorite songs and television shows of childhood. That was harmless. Then I discovered one day the British series Black Books a bookshop with a sociopathic Owners and to its mild, almost military loose seller played by Bill Bailey. The combined comedy and music to the most wonderful and brilliant, especially in parodies. By Chris de Burgh to Billy Bragg (who gave the parody Unisex Chip Shop with Bailey in Glastonbury to the best that Chris de Burgh would never bring himself) about Emo or music in Starsky and Hutch . Four of his programs are fully viewable on You Tube. In particular Part Troll I can only recommend.
He also was a guest on various British panel shows (as in Germany there is a group of comedians and entertainers who move from one episode to another), in Never Mind the Buzzcocks (an often brilliant music quiz) years Team Captain. About Room 101 and QI I ended up at Have I Got News for You and since I'm bogged down for good. there are 37 seasons of it and a fucking lot are available on YT. The title theme is now burned into my inner ear, I now know more about the British political landscape as a result of the German and I need a day at least. This, unfortunately, the reading time will be the loser.
I have deliberately not linked. Voyages of discovery, one should not reproduce, but is itself looking at where the journey leads. Tags I've given enough.

However, God has my prayers, if ever, heard only rarely. But I was not prevented from praying. The best thing about prayer is in fact the clarity that gives it one. One need only pray, and so one knows what you want. People who do not pray, suffer from indecision. You can not decide.

So, my re-reading the Dalziel-Pascoe series by Reginald Hill is complete. The last band was amazing. The form I was not very raised, the novel is a mishmash of e-mails, MP3 recordings and conventional narrative. In particular, the e-mails I found in the long run despite the tiring inzeressanten content because they were written in today's standard e-mail style : fragmented and orthography free.
The content, however, has it all. There are a few short stories about Dalziel and Pascoe. A play in 2010 on the Moon (1990, as the story was published, seemed to be much more possible in twenty years). The Pascoe, who is described there is no longer the Sympathling of the novels. I never thought that Hill would depict the development goal, I thought it would remain hidden behind the scenes. But in the last volume A Cure for all Diseases he begins just that cuts the umbilical cord to Dalziel Pascoe, the trinity of Pascoe / Dalziel / Pascoe and Wield crumbling does not look good.
Rarely has an author something familiar.

Naguib Mahfouz (so the English spelling) The Seventh Heaven Egypt will take on the world map of my journey. A German translation of the collection of supernatural stories I could not yet identify.
I love lists, not too long and only are. M. John Harrison has published a few days: some good fantasy.

Actually yes I am interested in old or early fantasy / fantasy, whatever you call it. The Twilight of the Gods turns out to be a surprising collection of stories by Richard Garnett (just like the Sturgeon and the Mahfouz - with none of the books I was aware).
The Haunting of Hill House after all, is expected as a novel. And praise for Shirley Jackson to me now encountered in so many places that I could not escape the longer.
Now a nice pile of interesting reading waiting for me. But I fear I will Dalziel and Pascoe and only release when I have also read the last volume of their series. Are only four books. The Xenophon pushes itself between them and sneaks behind your back heel.

I just totally lost in the Dalziel and Pascoe-series from Hill. Just stop when I wanted to, because to me his literary allusions and puns not only clever and entertaining as then occurred at the first reading, I reached the first of the books that I consider the highlights of the series. Pictures of Perfection, "Beyond the Woods, On Beulah Height, Arms and the Women (of which I was pleasantly surprised because I did not have a good memory, because of the sensational conclusion has an upset, as again now - but the first 400 pages are wonderful) and now Dialogues of the Dead. to

How Long Does Sealant Strip Take To Dry
Anyone who has ever tried to write a novel knows what it is tedious for a venture, it is undoubtedly a particularly bad form of self-employment. All the time you have to be yourself in a Einpersonenzelle, in complete solitude. It is a controlled psychosis, paranoia and also Obession, which is connected with work and therefore not with the feathers, frills and Venetian masks ausagestattet that we associate with it, but rather with butcher's apron and rubber boots and a knife for evisceration in the hand .

Audigy Se Front Pannel
Last weekend a creative writing workshop on the topic of fantasy (it was very interesting to join such a thing, a women's round, however, that the prejudices completely appropriate) this weekend playing in the Eifel and in between bit of a hanging. Two reports from the Litcologne are pending - maybe I'll write tomorrow, when the time change I do not completely throw off the track, this useless fault of my rhythm of life '.
With Coleridge I am through. At least the end of life, he was allowed beleaguered slowly enjoy the fame as a sage of Highgate. The financial problems remained, the opium addiction as well, but they were side effects become. Just then, of course, when Coleridge finally passed through controlled cars flips from his eldest son Hartley loses due to alcoholism and disorderly conduct in the university post Oxgord. The father helps the son turns ultimately depends entirely on the father, is just one day away during a joint trip by. Coleridge met the heavy, he had always regretted to leave his wife and the children down. A hugely exciting
biography, very lively, because Holmes can often Coleridge himself in letters, diaries, poems have their say and who was a tireless writer and speaker, yet not boring, and quite self-deprecating.
To complete the reading, I have added myself Dorothy Wordsworth The Grasmere Journals and Alfoxden to get to know the other side of the Wordsworth-Coleridge-friendship. Moreover Coleridge Selected Poetry (the selection was made by the way, Holmes). It is time anyway, I reviving an evening poetry reading.

How To Get Heartgold To Work On Dsmume
The rest of Coleridge lasted but four Dalziel and Pascoe-volumes long. Crime series, which were once wildly las develop a new charm, if you read them in the order of their release. In Volume 3 and 4 of the series has no Dalziel Pascoe (almost) or without Dalziel Pascoe get along (almost). This gives both the characters as possible on their own legs to stand.
Coleridge, however, stripped of leaves on a life that, from on to off and back down again and stumbles. As soon as he is successful, it follows even the losing streak. Much is explained by Coleridge opium addiction, his lack of organization and his indecision, on the other hand, he is suffering like a dog and sometimes he fails because of the wickedness of others. How could the man bear his own life? Perhaps helped his friends. Whenever it seemed not to proceed, then stretched Coleridge opposed by a helping hand. If he is judged by his friends, then he can despite all the weaknesses not a bad have been guy.

Men Who Sit On Their Women's Stomachs
Tokarczuk on 16 March 2009 in the church culture
If you get the mouth by the moderator made watery, which in unrest, the new novel by the Tokarczuk (Whose title derives from a sect of the Russian Orthodox Church, which believes that the devil befall the people if this is stationary ) so everything happens in the said sect members of amputees who her removed leg write letters to the crew, which drank the brandy in a slump, brought in the anatomical specimens were when my curiosity awakens So that's, you should not choose as samples a section, which depicts a more leisurely episode.
Barbara Rudnik read very clearly, but also very uniform. The lecture lasted on and on, the wooden church pew under my ass was always uncomfortable, no seat position brought more relief to the ears curled slowly inside and was still a pile of leaves in front of Mrs. Rudnik, the merciless undertook a sheet after another, and read aloud. And it just did not aks was because they finally stopped. Such relief!
The moderator, not even the most vivid, then talked at length with the Tokarczuk which was by then pretty much ignored at the table and finally, finally swing came in the evening.
